Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Are you recruiting?

Answer: No, we are not recruiting at the moment. We occasionally recruit people on a freelance basis for jobs. We advertise vacancies on Talent Circle, Mandy and Production Base.

You can e-mail your CV to mail@kayakproductions.com and we will keep it on file for six months. In your e-mail please mention that you read the careers section of our web-site.

Unfortunately we can't reply to individual CVs because we receive thousands. (So many that it inspired part of our Blackroom Management: On Tour video.)

If you want to get into film-making we recommend you start by entering short films into filmaka.com. Alec Christie has written some amusing tutorials about this in his filmaka blog.

For casting actors we use Casting Call Pro. We like profiles with 1-3 minute edited video showreels.

If want to break into the film production we recommend you get a drivers licence and a first aid certificate as these are useful skills on set, and in life.

The St Johns Ambulance run regular 'Emergency and Basic First Aid' courses around the country for around £65.

If you have a drivers licence and a first aid certificate you can e-mail your CV to mail@kayakproductions.com and we will keep it on file for six months. In your e-mail please mention that you read the careers section of our web-site.

Is that Guy Burnet who plays Craig Dean in Hollyoaks?

Answer: Yes, Guy Burnet who plays Craig Dean in teen soap opera 'Hollyoaks' has been working with Kayak Productions director Azi Rahman for many years. Guy recorded a video interview about his collaboration with Azi Rahman here.

The infamous Alec Christie and Guy Burnet out-takes and bloopers video can be found here.

Does Guy Burnet have a girlfriend?

We have no idea. For Guy's latest news check out his website. Ria Lina, who plays Guy Burnet's love interest in the Christie Series, is not his real life girlfriend. She is, in fact, a happily married, award winning stand-up comedian.
